New Assistant Principal at WIS

Dear WIS Families,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Ms. Leslie Ford as the new assistant principal of Weston Intermediate School. Ms. Ford comes to us from Fairfield Public Schools where she served as the Elementary Program Facilitator of Holland Hill School. She brings with her a wealth of experience as both an administrator and a classroom teacher. In her 21 years in Fairfield she has served in a variety of capacities, working as the district K-5 Social Studies Liaison, Instruction Improvement teacher for Math, Gifted Education teacher, and SRBI Coordinator. She has worked closely with the special education staff, leading numerous PPT and 504 meetings.

Throughout the interview process, Ms. Ford impressed us not only with her knowledge of K-5 curriculum
and instruction, but with her dedication to promoting a positive school climate and building positive
relationships with students, staff and parents. I am confident that Ms. Ford will be a great fit for our
school.

Ms. Ford will begin her new role at WIS on September 6th . Please join me in welcoming Ms. Ford to our
school and our district.
