Dear WIS Families,

I hope everyone is having a good week.

Here are some updates and important announcements, please take a moment to read. Thank you:

“Souper Bowl” Food Drive: This week we kicked off our annual “Souper Bowl” Food Drive to support the Weston Food Pantry. Your child should have brought home a bag with an attached list of much needed items. To continue with the Super Bowl theme we have labeled two bins with the names of the competing teams so students can choose the team they’re rooting for. We’ll keep track of the number of donations received and see if we were able to predict the winner. We kindly ask that families check the expiration dates before sending any items into school.

Early dismissal: This Friday, February 2, is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 12:35. There are no afternoon activities.

Sweetheart Dance: All fourth and fifth graders are invited to attend along with a parent or guardian. The dance will take place on Friday, February 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the WIS Cafetorium. This PTO  sponsored event is always a lot of fun. If you have not purchased a ticket, we hope you will seriously consider joining us.

Important Dates:

Feb 2: Early dismissal for professional development. 12:35 p.m. dismissal

Feb 19-23: School is closed for winter break

Feb 26: No School--Professional Development for teachers

Warm regards,

Patricia Falber
