Dear WIS Families,

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Today is our 100th day of school. To celebrate the day many of our third graders dressed up as Grannies and Grandpas - they were so much fun to watch as they came into school with their wigs and props. Even the teachers got into the fun.

Below are some updates and important announcements, please take a moment to read. Thank you.

“Souper Bowl” Food Drive: This is our last week of our annual “Souper Bowl” Food Drive which supports the Weston Food Pantry. We have received a lot of donations so far, so thank you to everyone who has sent in food. As the donations are received the students are placing them into the bin of their favorite team, and so far the San Francisco 49ers are in the lead. We’ll see if our prediction comes true.

Sweetheart Dance: All fourth and fifth graders are invited to attend along with a parent or guardian. The dance will take place on Friday, February 9 at 6:00pm in the WIS Cafetorium. This PTO  sponsored event is always a lot of fun. If you have not purchased a ticket, we hope you will seriously consider joining us.

Kindness Week: Next week we will be celebrating a Week of Kindness along with Valentine’s Day. Please see the calendar below as each day has a different theme that students can participate in and dress accordingly.

Important Dates:

Feb 19-23: School is closed for winter break

Feb 26: No School, Professional Development for teachers

March 13 - 15:  Parent-Teacher Conference Days

Warm regards,
