Dear WIS Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful vacation week. As February comes to a close, I’ve listed a few reminders and events that are coming up. A special event that will be taking place soon is our school musical, Cinderella ….If the Shoe Fits. The production will take place the weekend of March 9 and 10 with performances at 4:00pm on Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday in the WIS Cafetorium. The show features a cast of 70 fourth and fifth grade students. Information on tickets will be made available soon.

Parent-Teacher Conference Days: You should be receiving information soon from your child’s teacher about signing up for a conference time. Here are the adjusted arrival and dismissal schedule times that will be in effect for parent-teacher conference days:
Wednesday, March 13 – 2 Hour Delayed Opening, school starts at 10:30
Thursday, March 14 – Early Dismissal, school dismisses at 12:35
Friday, March 15 – Early Dismissal, school dismisses at 12:35
The Weston Education Foundation Founder’s Award: The Weston Education Foundation (WEF) is asking for parents/guardians and students to submit teacher nominations for the Elizabeth W. Stokes Founder's Award. The award recognizes and rewards a WPS teacher who has provided a unique and unusual experience outside the classroom to Weston students as part of the curricular experience. The award is named after the long-time former Weston resident who founded WEF in 1994. Nominations are being accepted now through March 1, and the form may be downloaded here:

Kindergarten Registration: Mrs. Kaddis, principal of Hurlbutt Elementary School, asked me to share this to let you know that if you have an incoming kindergarten student for the 24-25 school year, you can begin the registration process.
