Dear WIS Families,
Happy Mother’s Day! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
A big thank you to the PTO and all the families who helped make last week very special for the teachers and staff during Staff Appreciation Week. Everyone was so appreciative of all the cards, snacks, goodies, and notes that were received. The staff luncheon was delicious and the parent volunteers for recess were a very welcome treat.
This coming week our third and fourth graders will have their Field Day. Please take a moment to read the message below from the PE department
Weekly Updates:
Field Days: Students should bring a water bottle and wear sneakers and their field day shirt. And, don’t forget the sunscreen especially if it’s a sunny day. We are closely watching the weather for Wednesday, right now the forecast is calling for rain which might mean we will need to take advantage of the rain date which is Thursday. We will be sure to let you know as we get closer to Wednesday.

Wednesday, May 15: 3rd grade 9:00-11:40 am, 4th grade 12:05-2:45pm
Thursday, May 16 - 3rd and 4th grade Field Day Rain date - same times
Wednesday, May 22: 5th grade all day

100 Paw Celebration! 
Our 100 Paw Celebration was a great success this week! All students enjoyed their special movie and pajama day in the library, and even had the chance to win some prizes by answering space-themed trivia questions! Congratulations again to our students for earning 100 P.R.I.D.E. Paws. We are so proud of you!
The WIS School Store
The 5th-grade fundraiser continues to be a huge success! We have now raised over $2000 for the 5th-grade class gift! This will be the final week for the WIS School Store. All classes will have one last chance to shop this week during their regularly scheduled library time. The fundraiser will conclude with a few specialty items for sale at the WIS Art Jam on May 23rd. All proceeds from the fundraiser go directly to the 5th-grade class gift, which will be unveiled in June.
